The Florida Trail Association (FTA) is a nonprofit volunteer organization based in Florida. Since 1966, the association has worked statewide to develop, maintain and protect hiking trails across the state, most notably the 1,300-mile Florida National Scenic Trail. The FTA also works in cooperation with the National Forests in Florida, the Federal management agency for the trail. The organization provides opportunities for the public to hike, volunteer and engage in outdoor recreation and environmental education. Get involved and volunteer.
