Wythe: Trekker. Writer. Professor.

Wythe is a world traveler, having explored numerous countries including England, Germany, Iceland, Italy and Spain. In his teens he circumvented Iceland in a Land Rover. In his twenties he was a whitewater river guide on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers in the eastern United States. He is an avid wilderness camper having hiked sections of both the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. He has also biked Death Valley National Park in California, USA. In his spare time Wythe shares photos, insights and story from his adventures with the XplorMor Community through his Xplorer Journals.

Wythe’s career includes a decade as a whitewater raft and canoe guide, fifteen years as a chief financial officer, and his current stint teaching graduate school. Wythe has camped and explored Iceland, the Appalachian mountain chain from New Hampshire to Georgia, the American west including, the Big Bend country of Texas, the Grand Canyon, and the Chihuahuan, Sonoran, and Mojave deserts, he has hiked and photographed the Sierra Nevada and the Central Coast of California. Read Wythe’s Xplorer Journals.
